We then enjoy a guided walking tour of Valletta, the 16th-century capital built after the Great Siege of 1565. With its baroque palaces, orderly streets, and sweeping views of the Grand Harbour, Valletta remains one of Europe’s most impressive fortified cities. Key visits include St. John’s Co-Cathedral, famous for its rich interior, marble inlay, and Caravaggio’s Beheading of St. John the Baptist, as well as St. Paul’s Shipwreck Church, one of the city’s oldest, honouring the apostle’s arrival in 60 A.D. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

This morning, we drive to Rabat and stroll through its medieval streets to visit St. Paul’s Catacombs, the earliest and most important evidence of Christianity in Malta. These 4th-century underground chambers served as a Christian burial site during Roman times and offer valuable insight into early Christian life on the island. We continue to the Wignacourt Museum, once the baroque residence of the Chaplains of the Knights of St. John, now home to an impressive collection of sacred art and religious artifacts. From here, an underground passage leads us to St. Paul’s Grotto, revered as the place where the Apostle Paul stayed after his shipwreck in 60 A.D., preaching and laying the foundations of Christianity in Malta. We also visit the nearby Roman Catacombs from the 3rd century A.D., and the World War II shelters beneath them—rock-cut tunnels that protected Rabat’s residents during wartime air raids. Turn Back to our hotel, Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

After breakfast, we enjoy a relaxed start before heading to a traditional glass-blowing workshop, where artisans shape molten glass using techniques first introduced by the Phoenicians. Watching these craftsmen at work provides a unique insight into Malta’s long-standing artisanal heritage, with time to browse or purchase handmade pieces. We then continue to a renowned wine estate near Mdina, Malta’s ancient capital. Wine production in Malta dates back over 2,000 years, and today the island’s boutique wineries are gaining recognition for their quality. After a guided tour of the vineyards and cellars, we savor a tasting of three local wines accompanied by a light lunch—an ideal way to experience the authentic flavors of Malta.

This morning, we head to Malta’s southern coast to admire the Blue Grotto, where sunlight reflecting through the water creates brilliant shades of blue inside the cave—an unforgettable natural spectacle. We continue to Ħaġar Qim, one of Malta’s most important prehistoric temples and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dating back to around 3600 BC and overlooking the sea, the site features an elliptical aperture aligned with the summer solstice, when the rising sun illuminates a central stone. Our next stop is the traditional fishing village of Marsaxlokk, where we enjoy lunch by the waterfront. With its colorful luzzus and relaxed atmosphere, the harbor remains one of Malta’s most charming settings. In the afternoon, we visit Vittoriosa (Birgu), one of the Three Cities and a historic stronghold of the Knights of St. John. A short walking tour reveals its fortified streets and sites tied to the Great Siege of 1565. We end the day with a Gala Dinner at a local tavern, followed by overnight accommodation at the hotel.
